CHAMPION DURALON™ STYLE 172 PTFE Aramid Packing is combination packing with tough aramid fibre yarn cross-plaited at the corners, ePTFE Lubricated fibre yarn at the seam strands. Each stand of yarn is uniformly impregnated with PTFE dispersion and temperature resistant lubricants.

Applications: CHAMPION STYLE DURALON™ 172 PTFE Aramid Packings are used primary for sealing in high temperature, high pressure reciprocating and rotating applications i.e. valves, pumps (dosing and plunger), agitators, rotary and reciprocating applications in chemical process industries. Suitable for pigments, dyestuffs, paints, amide, detergents, hydrazine, trisodium phosphate, sodium hexametaphosphate, most gases, ammonia, urea and carbamate condensate in fertiliser plant, aromatic solvents and Carbamate services, abrasive and slurry media.
Service Media: Compatible with media in the range pH 1-13, including water, oils, solvents, medium strength acids and alkalis.
